Silent Disco Rental

The Headphone Thing, minus the us.

The same multi-channel headphone setup we bring to events — delivered as equipment for you to hand out and run yourself. No crew, no host, no hourly rate.

Everyone wears wireless headphones and picks between channels, so the room stays quiet while the dance floor doesn’t. If you want the longer explanation of why that solves problems no amount of good DJing can, it’s on the staffed version of this page.

This page is about the other way to do it: we drop off the gear, you run the night. It suits organisations that already have people on hand — a student council, a resident advisor team, a festival crew, a wedding party with a friend who volunteered. Handing out headphones is not difficult work; it just needs somebody doing it, and if that somebody is already on your team, you shouldn’t be paying us to stand there.

Three silent disco headsets with their ear cups lit in different colours — pink, green and blue — one colour for each of the three channels.
One colour per channel, so you can see across a room who is listening to what.

What arrives

The whole kit.

  • Wireless headphones, quantity sized to your headcount
  • Three transmitters — three simultaneous music channels
  • LED headphones that glow by channel color
  • Individual volume control on every headset
  • Long-range broadcast that covers a venue or an open field
  • All-night battery life on a single charge
  • Connects to a phone, laptop, tablet or DJ setup
  • Delivered charged, with charging cases

How the rental works

The boring details, up front.

Nobody wants to discover these on the day.

  • We deliver and collect — you don't transport headphones yourself
  • Everything arrives charged and ready to hand out
  • Headsets are cleaned between every rental
  • We show your team how to run it at drop-off
  • You distribute, monitor and gather the headsets back in
  • Plug your own music source into the transmitters
  • Missing or damaged headsets are charged per unit — we'll tell you the rate before you book
  • Reach us during your event if something isn't behaving

Good fits

Who tends to rent rather than book.

  • Schools and universities with staff or student volunteers
  • Greek life and campus events
  • Festivals and multi-stage outdoor events
  • Venues with a noise ordinance or hard curfew
  • Late-night after-parties once the main event ends
  • Fitness, yoga and dance sessions
  • Corporate events sharing a space with other functions
  • Anyone who already has the people, just not the gear

Not sure which you want

Rent it, or have us run it.

Renting is cheaper and works well when you have willing hands. Having us run it means nobody on your team spends the evening counting headsets instead of enjoying the party. If you're weighing it up, tell us the event and we'll give you an honest answer — including when renting is plainly the better call.
