Mitzvahs
Two parties happening in one room.
A bar or bat mitzvah has a dance floor full of thirteen-year-olds and a perimeter full of adults. The job is keeping both of them glad they came.
Mitzvah receptions are among the most demanding events we do, and among the most fun. The energy has to stay high for the kids for hours, while the adults still get a room they can talk in and music they recognize.
We plan the run of show with your family in advance — the entrance, the candle lighting, the hora and the horah music, the motzi and any blessings, the montage. Nothing about the ceremonial portion gets improvised, and we’ll follow your family’s and your synagogue’s customs as closely as you want us to.
For the kids, party motivators, interactive games and giveaways keep the floor busy well past the point where a DJ alone would lose them. Add blacklight or glow lighting and the room transforms once the formal portion is done.
